SECRET discovered in Elden Ring — hidden room no one found for 2 years
The dataminers and the community have been searching for nearly two years, and someone finally cracked it. A hidden room deep in Farum Azula with lore implications that change everything we know about Marika's plan. The room contains a mural depicting a second Elden Ring — not a shard, a complete ring — and a fog gate that leads to a boss arena that is fully modeled but completely empty. The item description of a new ring fragment found in the room explicitly references 'the first attempt.' This might be what Miyazaki was teasing in the 2022 interview about 'cut content that may one day return.'

I've spent 400+ hours in this game and never found this. The 'first attempt' text is genuinely mind-blowing. Miyazaki is playing 4D chess with the lore.
The empty fog gate boss arena is the most haunting thing in this game. The idea that there's a boss room with zero boss just waiting there is very FromSoftware.
Dataminers found reference assets in the DLC files too that match the mural design. This is definitely intentional and probably Shadow of the Erdtree related.
Can you share the exact location? I've been in Farum Azula dozens of times and never noticed anything unusual there.
Replying to CosmicGamer: It's in the lower section, after the third Beastman fog gate. Drop to the platform below the elevator shortcut and hug the left wall. There's a pressure plate that opens a door that was always there but never interactable before Patch 1.10.
